Who we are

Greater Life Church was birthed in 2017, when two churches merged together and unified their vision for something greater. We are a spirit-filled and spirit-led church whose mission is to make Jesus known. We are a community of people that come from different backgrounds and upbringings, but that's what makes us so unique. Greater Life Church exists to be a beacon of hope and a place of security and restoration in the Charlotte area.

Our Heritage

Greater Life Church was born in 2017, but we can look back at over 90 years of heritage and God's faithfulness. Garr Church was founded in 1930 by Dr. A.G. Garr, who was one of the first Pentecostal missionaries and evangelists to present a Full Gospel message. Over the years, thousands of people have been saved, healed, and have experienced the power of God through this ministry. One of the unique elements of our heritage is how in 2017 Garr Church and Mint Hill Community Church came together believing that greater things could be accomplished together.Pastor Andrew Byrd (Mint Hill Community Church Founder) and Pastor Randy Briscoe (Pastor at Garr Church) agreed that God had called them to pursue a new vision together. On May 7th, 2017 both churches voted unanimously to become Greater Life Church and since that day we have seen growth in our church, in our relationships and in our ministry team.
